Impact Data
Any analysis is only as good as the core data utlised. Introducing the Comprehensive Environmental Data Archive (CEDA®). The Rapid, cost-effective, comprehensive, accredited, accurate and flexible Hybrid carbon accounting methodology requires an Economic Input/Output database, which ties emissions to economic flows across industry sectors. Created by Dr. Suh, CEDA® is the most comprehensive, internationally scoped and only peer-reviewed carbon and environmental impact dataset in the world. CEDA® is already the data of choice for leading applications around the world, and serves as CarbonRiver’s foundational dataset and the corner stone of our comprehensive data library.
CEDA® exists as uniquely scoped and bespoke data for UK, U.S., China, Japan, South Korea and is the bed-rock of an EU-wide dataset. Aside from the 6 core Kyoto green house gasses, CEDA® also accounts for multiple environmental impacts (up to 1,600), including Water (various fresh and saline), Toxicity, Land-Use, Particulates‚

CEDA®‘s Methodology and data sources are clearly documented and published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals and all numerical data can be traced back to original data sources (generally from governmental).
As you evaluate other solutions, be sure to understand the quality of their core data and whether they have both the expertise and the commitment to stand behind the data and metrics derived from the data. Our scientists and mathematicians continually expand and refine CEDA® by integrating appropriate environmental databases and real-world project data.
CarbonRiver®‘s comprehensive data library is underpinned by a global, multi-regional IO database and is consolidated by various additional applications such as Ecoinvent of which Dr. Suh is a Co-Editor. The world’s leading International Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) database. Consisting of more than 4,000 LCI datasets in the areas of agriculture, energy supply, transport, biofuels and biomaterials, bulk and specialty chemicals, construction materials, packaging materials, basic and precious metals, metals processing, ICT and electronics as well as waste treatment.
The best datasets and the expertise to understand how and when to apply each.
